Once the foreclosure process starts, is there anything I can do to stop it?

Yes. The number one way that you can assist yourself in protecting all your rights and interests is to hire a qualified dedicated trial attorney like our office. Ultimately, in stopping the foreclosure, there are two primary ways to do that. One, as you would expect would be resolution of the case. Resolution of the case can come in a variety of different forms. Through reinstatements, payoffs, loan modifications, perhaps sales or short sales. As well as you can do a deed in lieu, or if none of those options are available to you, or sometimes my clients want to fight the bank all the way to trial, then that’s where we end up. We end up in a day or two trial, fighting the bank to see how the judge will rule.
